Facebook manipulates 700k users newsfeed in secret?!

Bad move, Facebook!

For one week in 2012 - and without the explicit consent or knowledge of users - Facebook tampered with the algorithm used to place posts into their news feeds to study how this affected their mood.
The researchers wanted to see if the number of positive or negative words in messages they read affected whether users then posted positive or negative content in their status updates.

Recently, this issue have come under fire, causing Facebook to received backlash from the public.
On 30 June 2014,Twitter user @Chris_yapp expressed his disappointment on twitter.
'I will not post on #FacebookExperiment till they agree not to conduct further research without explicit consent'
And he is only one of many who are angered at Facebook's manipulation of users' emotions.
